Want to know when the next Honkai: Star Rail update is? Thanks to official livestreams providing banner and event details for each new patch, we usually know well in advance what’s awaiting us in the new version of Star Rail.
Each new update for Honkai: Star Rail brings new banners to pull on, events to take part in, and a new Trailblaze Mission to move the story along, with future patches set on Planarcadia for the foreseeable future, a planet with ties to Aha and the path of Elation. Plus, we usually get some sort of update to the Divergent Universe, Currency Wars, or other endgame combat mode in every patch. The current update is version 4.2, the next will be version 4.3, and this page explains everything we know about both the current and next updates in Honkai: Star Rail.
The next Honkai: Star Rail update is on Monday, June 1, two days earlier than usual. This is the version 4.3 update that introduces a new character, Mortenax Blade, a fire Nihility variant of the universe’s saddest Stellaron Hunter. We don’t know why 4.2 is releasing two days earlier, but the 4.4 update goes back to normal, coming out on July 15, a Wednesday. We know this because of the official Phase 2 banner times in 4.3.
The next Honkai: Star Rail livestream should be on Friday, July 3 if the regular rule of releasing 12 days before an update is maintained– which it should be, as we’re back to the regular six-week update schedule now, even with a Monday update. This will be the livestream detailing all the banners and events coming in version 4.4, the patch in which Himeko Nova debuts.

In Phase 1 of version 4.2, the Honkai: Star Rail banners were Silver Wolf LV.999, The Dahlia, Castorice, and Firefly. These ran from April 22 to May 12.
The four-star characters on all their banners were:

In the current Phase 2 of version 4.2, the Honkai: Star Rail banners are Evanescia, Sunday, Tribbie, and Feixiao. These banners run from May 12 to June 1, and the four-star characters boosted on these Phase 2 banners are:
Also, remember that Archer and Saber’s banners are still running. These Fate collaboration banners have been running since July 2025, and are still kicking around for anybody yet to pull them.
As well as the Planar Fissure, Realm of the Strange, and Garden of Plenty triple-drop periods, there are four events in version 4.2 of Honkai: Star Rail.

The anniversary event for version 4.2 is a mini-game where the Trailblazer debuts as a professional streamer in Planarcadia. You get to set up and present a livestream with various customization options, including a combat line-up. More characters and equipment upgrades are unlocked as you progress through the event, and old faces show up in bonus segments. Rewards include a copy of the Tomorrow, Together four-star Light Cone.

Version 2.0 of the Cosmicon Collective tabletop card game event. It lets you play the permanent card game in multiplayer, and this time you get to team up in a co-op mode to take on a boss together. There are some minor changes to the game board and rules to accommodate this change.

This permanent event adds a co-op Party Car to the Astral Express. You unlock the visit function of your Party Car, and you can hang out with up to three Trailblazers at the same time. Plus, pets are allowed to come along for the visit!

A returning event where you get to set desired Relic Sets for characters and draw max-level enhanced five-star relics directly from chests through daily gameplay.
The Honkai Star Rail 4.2 anniversary update includes:

Currency Wars: Zero Sums gets its second expansion, with the Ascension Level cap increasing to 140 with added rewards. The first expansion also:
New line-up editing feature (customize your line-up at any time to apply and track it during matches)
In Phase 1 of version 4.2, the Honkai: Star Rail banners are Silver Wolf LV.999, The Dahlia, Castorice, and Firefly. These should run from April 22 to May 12, now that banner changes are back to every three weeks.
The four-star characters on all their banners are:

We’re also getting a lot of free rewards in 4.2 to celebrate Star Rail’s third anniversary:

In Phase 1 of version 4.3 the Honkai: Star Rail banners are Mortenax Blade and Yao Guang. These run from June 1 to June 24. Plus, when you pull Mortenax Blade from his banner, you get the Karmic Fire of the Distant Shore cosmetic, a flaming halo of fire that floats around the Trailblazer’s head. It takes up a brand new cosmetics slot.
All four-star characters on Mortenax Blade and Yao Guang’s banners are:

Then in Phase 2 of version 4.3 the Honkai: Star Rail banners are Cyrene and Phainon. These banners run from June 24 to July 14, and the four-star characters boosted on their Phase 2 banners are:
And don’t forget Archer and Saber’s banners are still running!
As well as the Planar Fissure and Realm of the Strange double-drop periods, there are two events in version 4.3 of Honkai: Star Rail.

Honkai’s take on a 3D arcade shooter. Think Star Fox if it were on-the-rails. You can also upgrade your ship with different parts to improve it as you take on tougher opponents. Rewards include a new texting background, Self-Modeling Resin, Tracks of Destiny, and Stellar Jade.

A top-down strategy mini-game that sees you placing items and planning the optimal route to attract Wispaes. It’s kind of like a bite-sized Roller Coaster Tycoon, if it only involved making creative waiting lines. The more the Wispaes like the environment while they’re moving through the line, the more points you get. Rewards include Tracks of Destiny and Stellar Jade.
