The next big Spider-Man movie hits theaters next month – at the end of July this summer (watch the trailer). To promote Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Sony has put out a quick video featuring Peter Parker’s friend Ned (played by Jacob Batalon) introducing a new website to “track” and follow Spider-Man’s whereabouts in NYC. It’s called Spidey Tracker (visit right here) – introduced as “a message from Founder & CEO, Ned Leeds.” It’s a viral marketing gimmick but also a website they’re using to post about promo events / special happenings and much more. A bit creepy to surveil Spidey that closely. This is the fourth solo Spider-Man with Tom Holland, produced in partnership with Marvel Studios and made by Sony. In Brand New Day, it’s getting tough for Spidey – the world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them. The cast includes Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk / Brue Banner, Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, Michael Mando as the villain Scorpion, Tramell Tillman.
