Green Day-Inspired Road Trip Comedy Film ‘Nimrods’ Official Trailer

“How are you opening for Green Day?” “Honestly, I don’t know.” Legion M & Inaugural Ent. have unveiled an official trailer for a rock band road trip movie called Nimrods, made by director Lee Kirk. It premiered last year at TIFF under the original title New Years Rev (teaser here) but has been renamed Nimrods for the final release in theaters this August. Nimrods is a coming-of-age story about three friends who journey to Los Angeles, mistakenly believing that their band is opening for Green Day at a show on New Year’s Eve. Their roadtrip is a rowdy & mischievous jaunt across the country filled with many adventures, based on the exploits of Green Day and their years of living in a tour van. The full cast includes Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, Ryan Foust as the 3 friends, with Ignacio Diaz- Silverio, Keen Ruffalo, Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Mckenna Grace, Fred Armisen, Bobby Lee, and Sean Gunn.
